The white circular tower stands 12.8 metres high and is of cement rendered brick construction. Two of the original three station quarters are permanently occupied by the head and assistant keepers. The third cottage is used for relief accommodation. Like the tower, the quarters are of rendered brick construction. Other infrastructure associated with the lighthouse include a bulk fuel store and workshop. The jetty and haulage way were used for transporting bulk supplies until 1981 when the jetty was declared unsafe.
